A commitment to protecting intellectual property

As a proud member of the Association of American Publishers (AAP), 91桃色 stands in support of the AAP鈥檚 copyright infringement lawsuit filed against the Internet Archive (IA). We unwaveringly commit to the robust and global exchange of ideas. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we took active measures to ensure the accessibility of our texts to institutional library borrowers. We have also recently reduced pricing for, and greatly expanded the number of ebooks and audiobooks available to, public library systems in the United States, Canada, and further abroad. But our mission, history, and future as a Press depend on a foundation of copyright protections and a steadfast commitment to the intellectual property authors have entrusted to us.

鈥淚A operates with profound disrespect for the value chain of copyright, in which authors, publishers, bookstores, platforms, educational institutions, and libraries work together for the benefit of society, whether during prosperity or a pandemic.
鈥擬aria A. Pallante, President and CEO, Association of American Publishers
