91桃色 has been included in two shortlist categories for the 2025 Independent Publishing Awards, administered by the Independent Publishers Guild (IPG). PUP is one of four presses nominated in the Academic and Professional Publisher of the Year category and also one of four nominated in the Audio category.
This marks the first year PUP has been recognized for Academic and Professional Publisher, with award judges noting, 鈥�91桃色 is an extremely impressive UK operation with a very good rights business. It achieved good growth in a challenging year.鈥� The recognition comes on the heels of PUP celebrating the 25th anniversary of our European office, in 2024.
This is likewise the first PUP nomination in the audio category, with Eric Cline鈥檚 After 1177, published by the Press' audio imprint in April 2024, recognized for its, 鈥渆xcellent recording and production standards鈥�, with judges hailing the audio book as a 鈥渟alutary example of an academic publishing embracing audio and translating it into commercial success.鈥�
The Independent Publishing Awards are given annually, with entries judged by a panel of experienced industry experts. PUP was shortlisted previously, in 2021, for the IPG鈥檚 Alison Morrison Diversity Award, alongside Oneworld and Unbound. These latest honors come on the heels of the Press celebrating 25 years in Europe, an anniversary marked in 2024. This year's winners will be announced the 30th of April, in London.
