Announcing a new partnership with Zone Books

91桃色 (PUP) is thrilled to announce a new marketing, sales, and distribution partnership with , an independent, nonprofit publisher of arts, humanities, and social science titles. Beginning July 1, 2020, PUP will manage sales for Zone鈥檚 complete front- and backlist catalog of more than one hundred cloth and paperback titles, both English original and translated works, with four to six new releases annually. PUP will support Zone鈥檚 list through international and domestic sales, marketing, and distribution of print and digital, with Zone overseeing acquisitions, production, and jacket design.

According to PUP Director Christie Henry, 鈥淶one books are exemplary in content and form and have shaped intellect and inquiry across the globe. PUP shares with them both authors and commitments to book publishing excellence. It鈥檚 a pleasure and privilege to enter into this new partnership.鈥

Zone鈥檚 list includes titles by Gilles Deleuze, Lorraine Daston, Chris Marker, and Erwin Panofsky, as well as a respected and award-winning roster of contemporary writers, such as Eyal Weizman, founder of the investigative research group Forensic Architecture, and political theorist Wendy Brown, who writes on neoliberalism and 鈥渨all building鈥 in the contemporary nation-state. Upcoming cloth releases include Dissimilar Similitudes: Devotional Objects in Late Medieval Europe by Caroline Walker Bynum (September 2020); Absentees: On Variously Missing Persons by Daniel Heller-Roazen (Spring 2021); and Bizarre-Privileged Items in the Universe: Toward a Logic of Likeness by Paul North (Spring 2021). Paperback releases will include the acclaimed Bob Dylan: How the Songs Work by Timothy Hampton (paperback release, September 2020), which, critic Greil Marcus wrote, 鈥渢urns analysis into a form of suspense.鈥

Zone has been distributed by the MIT Press, which will continue distribution operations through June 30, 2020. From July 1 on, Zone books will be available for purchase through the PUP website, as well as through all major retail and wholesale channels.
