Musa al-Gharbi is a sociologist and author of : The Cultural Contradictions of a New Elite. Described by the New York Times as "as a rising intellectual star", his book argues that the language of social justice is increasingly used to justify a new social elite, and to portray the the marginalized and disadvantaged as deserving their lot because they think or say the 鈥渨rong鈥 things about race, gender, and sexuality. He is currently based at the School of Communication and Journalism at Stony Brook University.
