Professor Wagner’s study of Barok social and ritual life pays special attention to the men’s-house feasting cycle. The kaba. or culminating death feast鈥� of that cycle, is invoked by the word 鈥渁siwinarong,鈥� which symbolizes the leadership succession on which Barok claims to ethical integrity and precedence rest.
